The haunting techno track follows 2022’s “Consciousness,” which also dropped on the revered Afterlife imprint.
Afterlife simply cannot miss.
Helmed by Tale of Us, the label has become the touchstone for emotive techno music. Its haunting, cerebral approach to the genre has effectively reinvented it for today’s generation, mutating it into a dazzling—and oftentimes chilling—music experience.
Afterlife’s spellbinding music is an exercise in contrarian art. And anyone who’s been to one of the label’s residencies or showcases can attest there’s nothing quite like it.
Case in point is “Eternity,” a brand new single from Anyma and Chris Avantgarde, two of Afterlife’s lynchpins. Check out Anyma dropping the song live at London’s iconic Printworks venue, where he performed his jaw-dropping audiovisual show, “GENESYS.”
“Eternity” stays true to the metaphysical aesthetic of Afterlife, exploring sentience and its capacity to form bonds—or existential dread. That’s up to interpretation thanks to the stunning visual direction of Alessio De Vecchi, whose work here is as haunting as ever.
A masterclass in melodic techno production, “Eternity” follows 2022’s “Consciousness,” a collaboration from Avantgarde and Anyma that remains one of Afterlife’s most popular releases. The label also released a riveting remix by Eric Prydz in August of that year.
