GRiZ has replaced Rainbow Kitten Surprise on Bonnaroo’s 2023 lineup, the festival’s organizers revealed this week.
The famed alt-rock band is on hiatus after abruptly cancelling all of its remaining 2023 tour dates due to a “medical crisis” besetting one of its members. The group also announced that they “are not going to put a timeline” on their return.
In the wake of RKS’ unfortunate announcement, Bonnaroo ultimately tapped GRiZ, who had already been confirmed for a Friday set, to perform in the band’s Saturday slot from 6:45 to 7:45pm. The electro-funk superstar will deliver a special “Chasing the Golden Era” set in a nod to his signature mixtape series of the same name.
Other artists from around the electronic music world heading to the farm this year include ODESZA, Subtronics, Elderbrook, Louis The Child, SOFI TUKKER and DJ Diesel (Shaquille O’Neal). The event will also feature a high-profile B2B set by Zeds Dead and Liquid Stranger.
Bonnaroo returns to Manchester, Tennessee from June 15-18, 2023. You can learn more about the festival here and check out the full lineup below.
The 2023 Bonnaroo lineup features ODESZA, Kendrick Lamar, Foo Fighters and more.
