It’s Summertime Chi season and John Summit is calling the opening shot.
The house music superstar has been on a nonstop tear across the festival circuit, but took time to drop a surprise show announcement this morning, showing his hometown some extra love. Ahead of the July 4th holiday, Summit will take to Chicago’s Space Stage Studios for what will certainly be a pop-up show to remember.
Summit is showing up in good company with Lee Foss, Mary Droppinz and D&S all joining the festivities. While the red-hot producer has primarily been appearing at major high-profile festivals as of late, he’s always remained attuned to the spontaneous, communal nature of house music’s roots. The joint creative multimedia studio and open-air live events venue will serve as an ideal change of pace as he throws down in the birthplace of house music.
Tickets to the July 2nd pop-up show went on sale at 12PM local time. Fans unable to make the pop-up can catch Summit in Chicago next at his first hometown festival headlining slot at Arc Music Festival over Labor Day weekend.
