Rainbow Six Siege’s biggest esports event, the Six Invitational, will take place in Brazil next year, Ubisoft has announced.
Prior to the conclusion of the 2023 Six Invitational, which took place in the familiar location of Montreal, Canada last weekend, Ubisoft and tournament organiser BLAST also revealed the title’s Major 2023 season locations.
Alongside the Six Invitational heading to LATAM, it was announced that the first Major will be held in Copenhagen, Denmark in May, with the US hosting the second Major in November.
This will be only the third time that the Six Invitational will take place outside of Canada, with Sweden hosting 2022’s event and Six Invitational 2021 taking place in Paris.
Brazil has become somewhat of a hotbed for international events over the last 12 months with the country hosting a CS:GO Major and VALORANT Champions Tour’s inaugural LOCK//IN event.
The exact locations for the second Major event and the Six Invitational have not been revealed.
The announcement that a Rainbow Six Major will head to Copenhagen, Denmark shouldn’t come as a massive surprise, particularly given that the region has become synonymous with a range of BLAST events, notably CS:GO’s BLAST Premier. BLAST is also headquartered in Copenhagen.
Nevertheless, this will be the first time a Rainbow Six Major will commence in Denmark. Previous Major locations include Berlin (Germany), Charlotte (US) and Mexico City (Mexico).
